ConsumerNet will not only claim the fees that you were charged by your bank or credit card provider; we also seek to add both compound and statutory interest to your claim. This can add considerable value to the amount you recover.
We always request that the refund is paid as a cash settlement shown in Example A, however there are times when the provider will use some or all of the compensation to reduce the amount outstanding in the account.
Typical Examples of Fee:
| Example A: All compensation is "cash in hand" |
Example B: Compensation includes "cash in hand" award with loan and future instalment reduction |
Example C: Compensation is used to offset arrears consumer has on Credit Card or Loan |
